Would love to have this
One of these would be awesome
I just got a blu-ray movie I was waiting two months for yesterday. It was cracked just like in the picture and unplayable.
If a phone does not have the backing of one of the major carriers it is virtually impossible for that phone to be released here. We aren't used to paying the full price for phones here, the 1st gen iphone being the major exception, and the carriers will not subsidize a phone that doesn't meet their strict requirements. So if HTC didn't get buy-in from one the major US carriers from the very beginning there is no reason for them to make a US version. They would just be losing money. In some cases if a manufacturer tries to release an unlocked phone directly to the customer, in the US, their other phones can be blacklisted from the major carriers. It has happen here before.

I wouldn't blame HTC for this one I would blame the major three cell carriers here.
This is an update to the Moto MING A1200 which has been out for years in asia. Came out in 2005 or 2006 I think. I don't know if the new picture is actually of the new MING or an old one with a GPS map on it.
That would be sweet.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"My brother is about to leave for the Marines, and I (the geeky brother) want to send something with him to keep him busy. What is a very rugged PMP or similar, with WiFi and a nice UI? A camera is definitely a plus."
