"Aluminum" is a horrible tinny word, but "macbook" is a nice, woody word.

That premium probably includes some kind of kick-back to AT&T to get the cheap-o no-contract data plans.

I personally think the extra money up front is worth it, if that is the case.

It's revolutionary from a content-delivery point of view. The hardware is nothing special, but what is done with the hardware could be very interesting.

I've considered this as well. Or at least waiting until I'm ready to ditch my Macbook. And I've been a laptop user for 15 years...

I can write faster with an on-screen keyboard than with a stylus/pen, but this would rock for drawing. Especially if the pen is pressure-sensitive.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.

"I have a friend who's taken a job in a security field and the employer doesn't allow cameras on cellphones. He's currently happy with an iPhone 3GS and would definitely consider an Android device but is having trouble finding a decent phone with no camera. The only caveat is that for whatever reason he doesn't want a BlackBerry. Does anyone else make a decent smartphone sans camera? Thanks!"
