Keepin' it real fake, part CCXLVI: MP3/AVI/MP4 Player has 'stylish designer style' courtesy of Apple
It doesn't get much better than this, folks. If KIRF is an art form this right here is your Mona Lisa, your Starry Night, your... painting with that dude screaming on a wharf. You know the one. Anyway, this is about the best iPod Nano knockoff we've ever seen, cloning that flat, proprietary connector and sporting a UI that would make the most ardent of Apple fanboys look twice. It has a camera on the back like the 5G, but trumps the Nano with support for a predictably wide suite of file formats and a price of just $33.25. A bargain, so long as you don't mind the measly 2GB of storage and the nagging sense of guilt that comes with buying a fake -- even if it is a spectacularly good one.

That's a very good device (for the price, at least)
Even the case is a decent KIRF, by far one of the best. If it only had an SD card slot, I might actually buy one.
@deanm Look at this one from the same source: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.27990
@(Unverified) If it took 16 GB SDHC I would buy that.
Gotta love that ubiquitous charger :)
Sense of guilt?
For not buying an Apple product?
@HeyUnderpants
Zing!
Gotta love them fakepods
If it works well, who cares who made it? No guilt necessary.
I dont see much 'designer style' from it, that connector choice is horrible.
Why does the shuffle kirf on the sight have a Micro SD slot and this doesn't?
Finally something that looks like apple has I-dock and has real manufacture price...
Nice, I'd get one but I've gotta think that they've cut every conceivable corner to keep the cost that low.
The iPod doesn't even come with a power adapter; Apple charges you about twice the price of this KIRF for it!
@(Unverified) Dealextreme has the same charger for $4.
This is what i bought, the 4gb Sansa Clip+ (they do an 8gb too). It supports mp3, wma, ogg and flac, and has a microsdhc card slot too :)

This is news because....?
That's not bad. Also, you wouldn't have to use the dreaded itunes.
I actually got once of these a while back when my zune died (I got the HD now :D). It was ok, aside from that it would randomly refuse to play songs due to corruption, requiring a reformatting of the device, most likely because it is running DOS, and the fact that the navigation buttons stopped working after 3 weeks of use, and that it had 8bit sound.
So yeah, I recommend it.
/sarcasm
Apple take note: This one takes pictures
My Aunt got one of these as a giveaway along with a 'free' trip to Atlantic City. They lure people down there with gifts and free bus rides and suck them dry in the casinos. It played video and music but stopped working after about 3 weeks.
the UI is actually not that bad. This seems like a really good copy, especially considering the price. It also comes in 4 and 8GB for a few dollars more (though dealextreme doesn't have those sizes yet). Check out this video:

Not all KIRF are built the same. Some are better than other. Some are also a lot cheaper than other.
I want to order one just to see how good or bad it is.
It's "The Scream" by Edvard Munch, Tim.
Just saying...
